Welcome to Good2BOpen

My name is Mark McBride and I am the Director of Library Services at Monroe Community College (MCC) in part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is in Rochester, NY. My background is as an instruction librarian who is likes to play with new technologies and I am convinced that space design can have a big impact on student learning. I am also an Open Educational Resources (OERs) advocate and believe that all educational content should be open. To educate is to share and the share is the mission of OERs. I am involved in several projects and will discuss them occasionally on the blog (or is it in the blog?). I see libraries playing a critical role in advocating for and helping with access to OERs and I will be working with my librarians to help carry the message of OER to our students and faculty and MCC.
